We browsed the Instagram accounts of our favourite A-listers to find out what books they are reading now. Are your ready to join the most famous book club in the world? 

Legally Blonde actress, Reese Witherspoon took to Instagram to share her love of Kristin Hannah’s chart-topping novel The Nightingale. The book tells the story of two sisters who each embark on their own quest to survive in Nazi-occupied France during World War II.



Songstress Florence Welch loves books so much she’s even got her own book club, Between Two Lungs. The club now counts more than 26,000 followers on Instagram, where Florence regularly shares book recommendations and interacts with fans. When Donna Tart finally returned to the literary scene with her long awaited novel, The Goldfinch, Florence and her club were first in line to chat to the prolific author.



Who wouldn’t want to look like Rosie H-W in bed? Well pick up a copy of Sweet Bitter by Stephanie Danler and you’re half way there! The story of a glamorous 22 year old who moves to New York and quickly gets a job at one of the top restaurants in Union Square. Expect love, sex and an insider scoop to restaurant life.

As part of her work with UN Women, Emma has launched a book club called Our Shared Shelf. “The plan is to select and read a book every month,” says Emma. “I will post some questions/quotes to get things started, but I would love for this to grow into an open discussion with and between you all.” If you want to join, follow the Instagram page here.


The Room star and Oscar nominee still manages to squeeze some downtime into her hectic schedule. Her favourite way to relax? Settling down with a juicy read like Bryan Stevenson’s Just Mercy. Author Stevenson is the founder of the Equal Justice Initiative and an iconic advocate at the forefront of discussing racism as reflected in the Judicial System. This summer actress Kate Bosworth made sure to fit a classic novel amount her bikinis and suncream. She snapped this photo of Helen Macdonald’s book H is for Hawk. The memoir explores Macdonald’s grief following her father’s sudden death through beautiful and complex prose.



T-Swift’s best friend and Vogue model Karli Kloss proves she’s more than a pretty face with this snap. Here she is reading Gloria Steinem’s autobiography which follows the feminist campaigner from her arrested during an anti-apartheid protest outside the South African embassy to her 81st birthday. The life of this social activist, writer, lecturer, itinerant feminist organiser and transformational leader is sure to have you gripped from the start.
