We can’t quite contain our excitement… Irish heartthrobs and all-round greatest boyband in the world, Westlife have CONFIRMED their reunion.
Six years after hearts worldwide were shattered after Westlife split up, Shane, Nicky, Mark and Kian have announced they are not only releasing new music but they’re also going on tour.
The reunion marks the 20thanniversary of the band’s formation in 1998, but one member will be absent from the reunion – Brian McFadden. After leaving in 2004 the remaining four continued before disbanding in 2012 and going on to enjoy their own solo careers.
Last night the greatest news ever was revealed. Uploading a video to their Facebook account, Westlife can be seen coming together and sitting next to each other on four stools facing the camera. At the end of the video we can hear them saying: “We’ll see you soon.”
Scoring a record 14 UK number one hit singles and seven top-selling albums, this is going to be one tour you don’t want to miss out on. From Flying Without Wings, My Love and Hey Whatever, to name a few, the band has not released new music since their final album, Gravity, was released in 2010.
No news yet on dates of the tour, but we assure you when we know, you’ll know.
