Eve and Villanelle are ready for you in the first Killing Eve season two trailer

Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer are back to fuel our obsession in the first trailer for Killing Eve season two. Spoilers ahead.

Eve and Villanelle are back, announcing their return with a Valentine’s poem for fans. The BBC America show follows Villanelle (Jodie Comer), a ruthless assassin with a great fashion sense, and Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh), the MI5 officer trying to track her down.

Since season one Sandra Oh has won a Golden Globe, Critics’ Choice Award and Screen Actors Guild Award for her role as Eve.

We might as well face it we’re addicted to Killing Eve, but the trailer has left us with a lot of questions.

Questions

Who else is after Villanelle? Who is Villanelle trying to stab? Are those flowers real or fake? Will the show live up to its title? On the last one we hope not.

One thing we know is Villanelle lives. After being stabbed by Eve at the end of season one she fled her Paris apartment. The trailer shows Eve admitting she thinks she might have killed her over the phone to her superiors, shortly followed by Villanelle alive and not so well in a hospital bed.

The two are still chasing each other while simultaneously trying to track each other down. The shot of Eve eating popcorn pretty much describes us watching the drama unfold in the teaser trailer.

Fashion

The weird and wonderful outfits are back too. Villanelle dons a hospital gown, a nightie and a questionable onesie.

If, like us, you can’t get enough of the trailers atmospheric music we’ve tracked it down.

Season two will premiere on 7 April in America but we’re still waiting for a UK release date. We’ll be rewatching season one on repeat until then.
