Last year, TV presenting powerhouse Emma Willis was announced as Next’s new brand ambassador – and the stylish mum-of-three is the perfect person to front the high street store. Each season, she’ll be selecting her favourite pieces from the Next collection so that you can emulate her look. Here, she shares her favourites from Autumn/Winter, and gives us some insight into her style.

How would you describe your personal style?

I would say my personal style is comfortable, with a modern femininity.

Who is your style icon?

Gwen Stefani, because she’s loud and proud and embraces anything she wants! I’d never have the balls to do what she does but I like to live vicariously through her style.

What are your favourite pieces from the Next A/W 2017 collection?

I love the over the knee elasticated boots, the slouchy men’s trousers, and the gold sequin skirt. Love love love them. There’s something for everybody in the collection.

Where do you get your energy from?

Who knows?! Although probably my kids – as much as they tire me out they also spur me on.

When do you feel at your best?

I honestly do really feel my best when I’m at home. There’s nothing like closing the front door behind me, slipping off my shoes and popping the kettle on!

What makes you happy?

I know it’s a bit of a cliché but my family make me giddy with happiness. They’re my everything.

What would your three top style tips be to any woman wanting to achieve your look?

Don’t over accessorize. No fussiness, keep everything simple and clean. And embrace tailoring – pick and invest in really good tailored pieces.

Do you follow fashion trends?

I think I tend to follow my gut more than trends, it’s important to be comfortable. The minute you feel uncomfortable you lose confidence.

If you’re having a bad day, do you have a go-to outfit which instantly gives you a confidence boost?

Comfort again, but I don’t necessarily want a confidence boost if I’m having a bad day, sometimes I just want to put on a great pair of pyjamas and watch some TV –Next do gorgeous pyjamas. Or if you have to go out, pop on a killer pair of heels.

What item or trend were you initially sceptical about but soon converted?

Jumpsuits and colour, now you can’t keep me away from either of them!

What piece of fashion advice would you have given yourself 10 years ago?

Don’t be afraid of jumpsuits or colour!

If you could raid any person’s wardrobe, who would it be? Why?

Victoria Beckham, because she designs everything that I would want to wear.

You’ve got 10mins to get ready, you’re going out for dinner – what do you put on?

Black trousers, fitted jacket, little vest and a pair of heels.
